Detty’s Journey to Citizenship
Detty’s journey to becoming a U.S. citizen is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and perseverance. In July, Detty shared with us that she had been diligently studying for her U.S. citizenship exam, which includes both English and Civics components. Passing this exam is no small feat, and it requires a deep understanding of U.S. history, government, and the English language.
Detty’s commitment to her goal was evident to everyone around her. She balanced her responsibilities as a Care Professional with hours of study, determined to succeed. Her focus and determination were inspiring, and her efforts paid off—Detty passed her exam with flying colors and took the oath to become a U.S. citizen.

To mark this incredible achievement, our St. Charles Team, Cortnie and Tisa, planned a special surprise for Detty. They gathered USA-themed gifts to celebrate her accomplishment and to honor the hard work she put into reaching this significant milestone. Detty’s reaction was priceless, filled with joy and pride, reflecting the sense of accomplishment that comes with achieving such a life-changing goal.
