What a fantastic day at the St. Louis APDA Optimism Walk 2024!  On Saturday October 5th,  the Assistance Home Care Team was thrilled to be a Bronze Sponsor of this inspiring event, held by the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) Missouri Chapter.

This year’s walk brought together over 700 participants at the beautiful campus of Logan University. The atmosphere was electric as people of all ages gathered to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s disease research and support services. It was truly heartwarming to see so many individuals, families, and organizations uniting for such an important cause.

As part of our commitment to supporting those living with Parkinson’s and their families, we were proud to contribute to the incredible efforts of the APDA. Events like the Optimism Walk are essential in shining a light on the challenges faced by individuals with Parkinson’s and their loved ones, while also celebrating the strides being made toward better treatment and care.

From the opening ceremony to the walk itself, it was a day filled with hope, camaraderie, and determination. Every step taken, every donation made, and every smile shared brought us closer to a future where Parkinson’s disease is better understood and more manageable for those affected.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who came out to walk, volunteer, or support the cause. Together, we are making meaningful progress toward a brighter, healthier future for people living with Parkinson’s disease.

At Assistance Home Care, we are honored to play a part in the APDA’s mission. As we continue to serve families and individuals impacted by Parkinson’s, we remain committed to providing exceptional care and support—both at home and through community efforts like the Optimism Walk.

If you missed the walk but would still like to contribute, it’s not too late to make a difference! You can donate directly to the APDA Missouri Chapter to help fund vital research and services for the Parkinson’s community.

Here’s to another successful walk, and here’s to the optimism that carries us all forward!
